So, Avengers! I have seen it. With brolookatthatcoolanimal, whom I adore beyond all compare, even if he does “find his groove” in random H&M stores while shopping for clothing suitable for a winteryish Namibian desert. :|
It was a fun movie! We have this bad habit of completely ripping apart movies (X-Men: First Class, for example, kind of imploded under scrutiny), but aside from a few gripes about the Hulk, Hawkeye, and a complete disregard for physics, it stood up fairly well! (I think?)
We did, however, come to two conclusions:
- Coulson didn’t just have a little design input on Cap’s uniform. He actually hand-sewed it. In his basement. In front of his shrine. Hence the odd seams.
- Given the completely pimpin’ outfit Loki wore in that one scene (you know which one), the only aspect of Midgard culture Loki ever bothered to learn about is fashion. In his new regime, fashion designers would be the only ones spared his wrath.
We also tried to decide where Spiderman would’ve been while Manhattan was going down. I said either downtown or in Queens.
(Everything made sense at the time. idk, idk.)
